The company was founded by Robert Graß (sen) to trade in small iron components of regional origin and ‘Primus’ quality, specializing in accessories for wire rope, rope, and chain, as well as connecting elements such as screws and nuts
After the founder’s death, his son Robert Graß (jun) took over and continued the business, which had been destroyed during the war.
The trading business was expanded, and a factory was built in Hagen-Eckesey for the production of internally threaded parts.
Relocation to the current site in Hagen-Delstern, featuring manufacturing, storage, and assembly halls. The company’s core activities focus on the production of precision nuts, externally threaded components, and custom-turned parts, using the Cridan principle for thread production and the Tornomat principle for the creation of wrench flats.
Entry of Peter Graß, son of Robert Graß (jun), into the company and transformation of the business into Robert Grass KG.
Creation of the first ‘Quality Assurance Manual’ and implementation of the QA system.
Introduction and start of production on CNC lathes.
Expansion of production capabilities through machining centers – processing of forged, upset, and cast parts.
Conversion from a GmbH to a GmbH & Co. KG. Robert Graß retires from active management; the company is restructured as Robert Grass GmbH & Co. KG, specializing in steel forming, machining, and thread technology. Peter Graß takes over as managing director.
Initial certification according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance GmbH.
Change of ownership at Robert Grass GmbH & Co. KG accompanied by a change in management. Mr. Christoph Schulte assumes management as Managing Partner, representing the fourth generation.
Certification according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 and DIN EN ISO 14001:2015.
Relocation to the new, modern site in Bocholt.
